Discover our history

Previous history

The roots of Atron Service GmbH run deep and wide in telephony, switching and radio relay technology at the end of the seventies of the last century. Company founder Hellmut Christian Lorenzen (deceased 2015) was a leading project manager with the company TeKaDe, later Philips Kommuntikations Industrie AG, and played a key role in the digitalization of the electromechanical switching technologies used until then. The introduction and establishment of ISDN switching technology for Deutsche Post and later SDH technology was a key part of the company’s activities until the late 1990s.

Foundation

In 1999, company founder Hellmut Christian Lorenzen decided to sell the company to Lucent Technologies Inc. due to restructuring within PKI and the resulting sale of parts of the company. to go its own way and offer installation and roll-out as an independent company on the market.
Atron Services GmbH was born.

Atron Service quickly developed into a reliable partner for Germany’s major carriers in the ever faster growing market of the mobile communications and Internet industry.

The pursuit of our own optimization and the need to be a reliable partner for our customers led to the ISO9001 and ISO27001 certifications, which were still new at the time.

In an increasingly globalized world, so are our customers. Customers such as Nokia, Lucent Technologies Inc, QSC and Huawai have become permanent cooperation partners.

Structure of decentralized storage system

Since 2009, we have been able to meet our customers’ demand for a rapid and parallel roll-out of network technology by installing a nationwide storage system. In addition to our central warehouse in Hamburg, which acts as an interim or buffer warehouse, we have maintained numerous distribution warehouses throughout Germany ever since.

Handover of the management

In 2010, Mr. Hellmut Lorenzen retired from the operational business. The fate of Atron-Services GmbH was placed in the hands of Ms. Schmidt-Ketelsen as Managing Director. The technical manager, Mr. Frank Annuscheit, was appointed as an authorized signatory.
